   I have no interest in football so I didn’t get these because of the Tom Brady connection, I just thought they looked cool. Now that I’ve been wearing them a couple of weeks, I can confirm they are cool! The frames are made from a bioplastic: a 100% biodegradable acetate that uses natural resins from wood and cotton and can decompose over 90% in 115 days. There is metal inside the arms. The lenses are recyclable plastic. I doubt many of these will actually get recycled, but still it’s good to see premium brands moving towards sustainable options.I got the “grey tonic” frame color, which is a fully see-through medium grey. They look very classy. I have a large head and they fit very comfortably. If I bend over fully, they have the potential to rise up and fall off, so these probably aren’t the best choice for active wear; they’re nowhere near as secure as my wrap-around style Oakleys, but then these are fashion sunglasses so they’re not meant to be. I almost dropped these on the floor the very first time I wore them and leaned over to pick something up.The arms are spring-hinged so they open with a smooth and satisfying motion. The marketing material says they “fold like the doors of a sports car”, which is a great description.The polarized lenses work beautifully at cutting glare. Optically, these are very clear with no perceptible distortion. There is a slight green tint to the lenses (on the Grey Tonic color option) which is more visible looking out from the lenses than looking at them.The sunglasses come beautifully packaged inside a hard case with “CLOOS X BRADY – DANISH EYEWEAR” embossed in foil on the top. The case is presented inside a black outer box which is similarly embossed. It all makes for a premium brand experience, which you’d expect at this price point. The inside of the glasses case has six rings embossed in foil (for the six Superbowl rings Tom Brady has won, but I guess they’ll have to add a ring now that he’s just won another).One interesting side note that you might not know: while researching for this review, I learned that the Christopher Cloos is not named after the designer like I assumed, but rather for someone the two founders of the brand met in the south of France who introduced himself under that moniker.These have a timeless, classic style and are comfortable to wear. They’re beautifully designed and constructed and have top quality polarized lenses, so I’d say they’re worth the price tag, which is actually pretty reasonable as far as quality sunglasses go.

   These are high quality sunglasses. The optics of the polarized glass are great. The frame is really good quality. I could easily see replacing the lenses with prescription lenses. Well made and stylish.
